Every day, 15 million kids leave school with no place to go, leaving them unsupervised, unguided and unsafe. That’s why when school is out, Clubs are in. Every afternoon is a chance to change America’s future.
As a leading advocate for youth, we are committed to ensuring that all children have access to a safe place after school and during the summer months where they can build the knowledge, skills and behaviors to put them on the path to a great future.
All of the children in our community deserve the right to be loved, nurtured and given the opportunity to reach for new heights. It is a fact that too many children are unsafe, unsupervised and under-challenged in the hours after school. Millions of “latchkey children” return to an empty house every afternoon. It is a proven fact that children are at greater risk of being involved in crime, substance abuse, and teenage pregnancy in the hours after school.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick provide a safe and positive environment, offering programs for thousands of children ages 5 to 18. The Club offers the social and emotional support needed to meet the challenges of our youth’s changing environment.
