On Saturday, April 18th Cooper Recording Studio is hosting a Battle of the Bands at School of Rock Seekonk! This competition is exclusive to high-school aged musicians, giving them the chance to take the next step to get their music into the world!

 

Each band will have the opportunity to perform either 2 original songs or 1 original song and 1 cover in front of an audience, as well as a panel of esteemed Rhode Island and Massachusetts musicians. The winning band, as determined by the judges, will receive a free session at Cooper Recording Studio to record a song of their choice, and learn the ropes of working in a recording studio! 


Cooper Recording Studio is a non-profit recording studio located in Warwick, Rhode Island, with all recording fees going toward supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick, including their art & music education programs for local children and teens.

Rules & Essential Info

1..All performers must be between the ages of 14 and 18.*

2..All performers must perform either 2 original songs OR 1 original song and 1 cover of their choice.

3. Performers must arrive at School of Rock Seekonk (1520 Fall River Ave, Seekonk, MA 02771) no later than 2pm for check-in.

4. Performers must remain in attendance for the entirety of the event to remain in consideration for placement awards. 

5. Event will run between the hours of 2pm-5pm, with performances beginning at 2:30pm. 

6. Large gear (drums, amps, microphones, cables, keyboards, etc.) will be provided by School of Rock Seekonk. Performers are welcome to bring their personal guitars, basses, and guitar pedals.

How To Enter

Click the sign-up button to be directed to a Google Form to enter your band’s information. After completing the form, you will receive a confirmation via text or email of your slot in the event! Prepare for battle!
